S060 Steam Shunter
The S060 Steam Shunter is a three-axle coal-fired steam locomotive designed for shunting duties. Compared to the DE2, it has a lower top speed, higher workload, and around double the load rating. It was released in build 95.
The S060 is found in small, remote stations, such as the forest stations, but also at the farm and steel mill. A shovel and a lighter are required to operate this locomotive. You can purchase these at the nearest shop.
The dynamo and air pump valves can be found outside the locomotive on the upper front left side of the smokebox, while the Lubricator valve is hidden underneath the right-front side water tank
It has non-self-lapped brakes. It is also capable of countersteam braking.
Trivia
- The S060 is based on the JŽ class 62, a class of engines formed of war surplus USATC S100s, along with post-war Yugoslavian-built engines. The S060 is still slightly different to the Class 62, as the S060 has a smaller cab, larger cab windows, a different bunker, a longer slope on the tanks, the same cylinder format as the S282 (That being both the piston and valve are not off-set) different whistle placement.
- The S060 uses all the same sounds as the S282, except for the whistle and bell.
