Crew vehicle
Crew vehicles are cars that can be spawned with the comms radio. They must be unlocked by purchasing garage keys from shops and using said key to unlock garages containing the vehicles
Handcar
The Handcar is a generic, wood framed, handcart with a "foot pedal" brake. To use it, in non-VR, the player can use their throttle keys and alternate back and forth with the pumping motion of the cart's handles, use the mouse wheel in a similar fashion, or even click and drag it. To brake, the player pushes the brake down either using their mouse or their locomotive brake apply key.
In order to obtain the Handcar, one must purchase the Old Bob's Garage Key in Food Factory & Town, then locate Old Bob's garage and use the key on the door lock.
Caboose
A caboose is a specialized wagon, providing additional braking power and housing brakemen, who would watch for slack-action in the train and apply the brakes in case of a breakaway.
In-game, the Caboose is the only rail vehicle, besides the handcar, to have a functional handbrake. Other functionality includes storing items, an on-board Career manager, a Remote Controller charging station and boosting the Locomotive Remote's range by 2 kilometers. The Caboose itself is marked on the map by a red square. Clicking on said square allows the player to teleport inside, free of charge. Using the crew vehicle spawner mode on the Comms radio, it can be spawned for $10.000.
In order to obtain the Caboose, one must purchase the Reginald's Garage Key in City Southwest, then locate Reginald's Garage and use the key on the door lock.
