Boxcars are used to carry cargo such as livestock, prepared foods, and various other freight.
There are 6 variants of the boxcar, 2 of which have differing functionality. The normal boxcars for non-perishable and non-military goods are brown, green, pink, and red. The refrigerator car carries perishable goods. It has a white paint job and a mechanical refrigeration unit on the back of the car. The military boxcar is a special kind of boxcar that can carry ammunition, and is painted with a darker green camouflage pattern. The normal and military boxcars weigh 20,000kg, while the refrigerator car is 21,000kg. All of them are 14.12 meters long.
